Egyptian Blue- Great Color for Spring!

So this past weekend I was in Paris! (Fashion Week--HELLO!) and I was simply inspired by the color blue! Even the sky tells me, this color is going to be IN!

I went to the Louvre (again) to the Egyptian civilizations exhibit and I was loving all the rich blue color (calcium copper silicate) used in all their pottery, jewelry, and even these figurines collected through all of the tombs! The color "Egyptian Blue" or "Frit" was meant to imitate semi-precious stones turquoise and lapis lazuli and is considered to be the first synthetic pigment.





Inspired by this "Egyptian Blue" (the real color's name), here are a couple of pieces and outfits based around the color that are sure to stand out this spring:
