This was my first time going to the Independent Fashion Bloggers Conference (IFB), held this year at Milk Studios in New York to kick off Fashion Week. IFB is a networking site that offers bloggers advice to improve their blogs, information on collaborating with businesses, and is a way for bloggers to meet. In past seasons I haven't been able to get out of work to attend, so I was so excited that my schedule allowed me to go this year!
IFB hosts this conference to lead a series of panel discussions with top bloggers and tastemakers giving their opinions and advice on particular topics. With discussions from bloggers like BryanBoy, Andy from Style Scrapbook, DKNYprgirl, and the boys of Street Etiquette, the conference was so helpful, and it was great to meet so many new people!
Topics included:
-What Are Bloggers Worth?
-Your Blog, Your Dream, or Just the Beginning?
-Media Goes Mobile
-Making Your Blog Irresistible
Although the conference was extremely informative, I wish that the panels didn't include only bloggers who had "made it" as professional bloggers, but more of a range of bloggers who had just started out, people who had been writing for several years, or bloggers whose readership has mid-range figures- simply to prove that success does not happen overnight!
More to come on NYFW, keep checking my Twitter for instant updates on what I'm up to around NYC.
This is such an amazing event! Can't wait to hear all about it!
