About a month ago, I did my own hair (for the first time in the hairstyle) which I kind of just winged it and kept twisting my hair to see what would come out. This was the final product, which I got several comments on and figured I would teach you how to do.
Here's what you'll need:
Your hair.
and a butt load of bobby pins.
Start by twisting one side of your hair and slowly gathering more hair into the twist.
Gather lower parts of your hair down by your ear and keep twisting into your growing twist.
Pin it there with two crossing bobby pins. Be firm and tight because it will naturally loosen (you'll probably have to eventually tighten the twists or add another bobby pin).
Do the same on the other side until your hair looks like this.
Take the pinned back hair on one side and remove the bobby pins. keep twisting into the lower part of your head, but keep half the hair on your head separated (see picture below):
Keep the twist going until you reach your ear, then pin two bobby pins in an X like before right behind your ear.
Remove the pins from the other section of hair and begin twisting and adding hair to that twist until it crosses your head. Secure the bobby pins to that side.
Your hair should then look like this, with two awkward little ponytails sticking out on either side.
Keeping the pins in that you JUST secured, take the loose ends and KEEP twisting in a circular direction on the top of your head (all the twists, as you can see, should be spiraling across your head).
Repeat on other side with the other loose ends (your little awkward pigtail).
As you reach the ends, secure all little hairs sticking out with MORE bobby pins until you feel like it is tight on your head. You may want to add some bobby pins into twists that feel heavy or may become loose (especially those at the bottom of your head).
Ta-da!
What do you think????
